DOT Proposes Adding Oral Fluid Testing for Workplace Drug and Alcohol Programs

The Department of Transportation (DOT) issued a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) to amend the transportation industry drug testing program procedures regulation to include oral fluid testing. The testing alternative is meant to give employers a more economical and less intrusive choice that will help combat employee cheating on urine drug tests.
