Biden Administration Issues Executive Order on Supply Chain Security

February 24 President Biden issued an Executive Order (EO) entitled Securing America’s Critical Supply Chains.

The EO tasks the federal government with several actions, including an immediate, 100-day review across federal agencies of vulnerabilities in the supply chains of four key products:

pharmaceuticals and active pharmaceutical ingredients;

critical minerals, including rare earth minerals;

semiconductors and advanced packaging; and

large capacity batteries.

The White House has also released a fact sheet summarizing the EO.
