Duke Realty Invests in Northwest Region Growth, Hires Four Leaders and Expands Regional Office

New Hires Collectively Bring 70+ Years of Real Estate and Development Experience

The Northwest region of Duke Realty, announces the addition of four new leaders to help scale its portfolio. Joining the Duke Realty team are Janet Galvez as vice president of leasing and development, Tom Jodry as vice president of construction, Jason Bernstein as director of development and Kathleen Andrade as senior property manager. Additionally, Duke Realty is expanding its Northwest region headquarters office in Oakland, California to the eighth floor of 1904 Franklin Street to accommodate continued growth.

“Over the past two years, we have invested heavily in growing our Northern California and Seattle portfolio to seven million square feet of rentable space and we continue to focus on infill development and acquisition opportunities,” said Drew Hess, senior vice president of Duke Realty’s Northwest region, which includes the Northern California and Seattle markets. “The investment in adding seasoned leaders proves our commitment to fully serving the needs of our clients and expanding Duke Realty’s state-of-the-art industrial portfolio in one of the nation’s busiest logistics markets.”

Prior to joining Duke, Galvez led industrial acquisitions and development for Hines in the San Francisco Bay Area. During her tenure at Hines, she managed all aspects of industrial transactions including recent acquisitions and developments in Hayward, Fremont and Richmond. Jodry brings to Duke Realty more than 34 years of construction and development experience across the Western U.S. He joins the company from Trammell Crow Company where he led development management and construction for over eight years in Northern California. Prior to Trammell Crow Company, Jodry worked in similar roles at Legacy Partners and Lincoln Property Company. Bernstein led entitlement and development activities for City Ventures in San Francisco for the past eight years and joins Duke Realty in a similar capacity. Before City Ventures, he worked at the Urban Land Institute. Andrade brings 21 years of property management experience to her new role at Duke Realty. She joins the Northwest team from Colliers International in Walnut Creek where she managed a diverse portfolio of Bay Area office and industrial properties, in addition to working on Duke Realty assets as a vendor partner.
