Message From the IWLA Chairman:
On behalf of the IWLA board, I am pleased to share that Jay Strother has accepted the president and chief executive officer role for the organization and will begin on Jan. 1, 2023.
With more than 30 years as an association executive, Jay has been with IWLA for nearly 12 years, most recently serving as vice president. He has continued to provide valuable contributions during his tenure and has developed trusted relationships with the members and staff, growing under Steve DeHaan’s leadership. Jay is ready to get started in this new phase of his career and we are excited to have him in the president & CEO role as IWLA continues to help lead and support the education and networking needs of our members.
Steve will continue to work with IWLA through the convention in March 2023, at which time we look forward to recognizing him formally. His overlap with Jay will ensure a smooth transition. Steve has served so well and effectively as our president & CEO for nine years, and he will be greatly missed. He is looking forward to his next phase in life – retirement – and spending more time with his family and grandchildren.
Please join me and the board in congratulating Jay on his promotion.
Scott Mayfield, Chief Administrative Officer, Kenco
& 2022-2023 IWLA Board Chairman
