The Personal Warehouse | Dark Data, Work Orchestration, & the Agentic Age

For 30 years, 3PLs have improved by optimizing processes and getting more out of their systems. At the 2026 IWLA Warehouse Technology Symposium, Alex Reneman, CEO of Mountain Leverage, argued that the next gains are not in new workflows or new tools; rather, operations already know more than what’s on the surface. Reneman shows how the competitive edge is hiding in dark data: the device logs, timestamps, and tribal knowledge that never make it into the WMS, but, when surfaced and analyzed, contain proactive, or even predictive, analytics that compound in impact through AI orchestration.

In his session, Reneman uses familiar 3PL scenarios, from missing pallets to new clients who need workflows your system can’t support. Through them, he explains what changes when AI agents can read that data and act on it, and why capability without coordination just gets you to the wrong answer faster.

Nearly three in four shippers are open to switching providers based on AI capabilities. This session is a practical look at where your operation should start.
