IWLA Regulated Goods Council Releases Lithium-Ion Battery Whitepaper

Lithium-ion batteries have become the industry standard for rechargeable storage devices, but they also present risks for battery fires, explosions, and other accidents, which can be mitigated with proper storage and handling precautions. IWLA’s Regulated Goods Council recognized there was as an opportunity to provide IWLA membership with valuable information to help prevent fire, injury, and loss of property when storing and shipping lithium-ion batteries.

After working with a multitude of experts from across the industry, IWLA’s Regulated Goods Council is pleased to announce the release of IWLA’s Lithium-Ion Battery Storage and Safety whitepaper. The whitepaper is available to all IWLA members and has been posted HERE on the IWLA website.
