Saddle Creek Logistics Services announced today that Charlie Piper has been promoted to senior vice president, marketing and business development.

Piper has played an integral role at Saddle Creek as vice president, business development, for the past seven years, helping to drive strategic growth through new and existing customer relationships and business expansion. Now he will oversee both marketing and business development teams.

“Charlie has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to our growth and success over the years. We are excited to see him take on this new role,” said Mark Cabrera, Saddle Creek CEO. “His strategic insight and ability to forge strong relationships with our clients will be invaluable for our continued growth.”

Piper has a wealth of experience in warehousing and order fulfillment. Prior to joining Saddle Creek in 2017, he held leadership roles in business development for a number of companies including Fidelitone Inc., New Breed Logistics, PECO Pallet, Inc., and Worldmark.

Piper succeeds Duane Sizemore, who is retiring in July after a 40-year career in logistics. During his 13-year tenure at Saddle Creek, the company has experienced tremendous growth. Sizemore has been pivotal in positioning Saddle Creek as a leader in the logistics space and establishing order fulfillment as a core service offering.
