IWLA Members Take Their Message to Washington DC
IWLA members visited Capitol Hill last week to meet with lawmakers and advocate on behalf of the 3PL warehousing industry at IWLA’s 2023 Legislative Fly-In. Attendees were able to visit their congressional delegations and, this year, members were also able to attend meetings with other elected leaders in powerful committee leadership positions. All IWLA fly-in attendees attended full briefings by the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee staff and House Education & Workforce Committee staff where they learned about upcoming legislative initiatives and were able to share first-hand the priorities and concerns of the 3PL warehousing industry. In addition to meeting with legislators to share IWLA’s legislative priorities, it was a great opportunity to educate lawmakers on the role of 3PLs in the supply chain and forge valuable relationships with elected leaders.
